“Result fixing” in Departmental Examination of Police Wireless?”
Match Fixing” has news value in media. Because cricket has got glamour among large section of society.MPSC, University Exams scandal also has got news value because it has social, Political, Economical aspect. A large cross section of readers is related to event or vested interest.
“ Result Fixing” in Police Wireless Departmental examination for Radio Mechanic classification class 1 cannot have news value because it is related to very very small portion of society. Tangential count of government sector is never analysed.There are many “Hidden” values which are not taken in to account. Result of Departmental examination is directly related to promotion & Reservation policies of government.In the word “result fixing” result has important value for candidate & fixing has news value for media. When “Policy” matters it becomes “ Politics”..
In our society “label” is important than “content”. Government is also not exception for it. My VRS on 31st March , 2007 is also bye product of this “Result Fixing” politics.This conspiracy was revealed because of “ Right to information 2005” used by some victim candidates.But Right to information doesn’t give justice it gives information only, that also reluctantly.
“ Its now high time to demand good police& It has to be demanded from citizen” said Arvind Inamdar Retired Director General of Police Maharashtra State while delivering a speech ‘ Maharashtra Police yesterday & today’ in Vasat Vyakhan 2004 Pune. The statement raised lot of logical & rational questions. Citizen should understand how the police organization works. Every govt department employee is paid the salary which is the money collected by the tax from citizen. Unfortunately even member of police organization doesn’t know the whole organization. Even acadmists & NGOs have insufficient study of police organization. It is due to non transparency, insufficient data, corrupted or manipulated data, vast difference between ‘on paper’ & ‘in reality’. Modernization doesn’t only mean purchase of modern equipment but it is development of modern mentality at root level. It requires scientific attitude. Modernization is not possible without rationalization. It needs reconstruction of govt departments that include police department also. If you look at police mannual. ‘ how many people from police organization have read & understood manual?’ ‘ how updated it is with time? which is bible of police dept.
Modernization is continuous process scientific analysis which includes 1) Observation 2) Inference 3) Experiments 4) Conclusion.
We should demand a non aligned committee which will study & analyze ‘n’ dimensions of police organization.
